Parshuram Kund is one of the most visiting places in Arunachal Pradesh, because of its beautiful landscape breathtaking view and historical faith. situated in the Lohit District of Arunachal Pradesh. Wakro in Lohit which is 15.7 km to Parshuram Kund. Wakro to Tezu 67km. And from Tinsukia to Parasuram Kund is 151km. The Kund is surrounded by a dense forest of Rudraksha trees, the fruit of which is considered sacred to Hindu ascetics as well as general believers of the faith.
The story behind Parshuram Kund
According to the legend, sage Parsurama washed away his sin of matricide in the waters of the Lohit river at Bramhakund. Each year thousands of pilgrims from all over the country congregate on Makar Sankranti day, to wash away their sins. A fair (mela) is held during this period.
How to Reach: To reach Parshuram kund the visitors can travel from either Dibrugarh-Tinsukia via Rupai near Doomdooma to Dirak check gate where Inner Line Permit will be issued on the spot to them. Another route is through Sadiya, crossing the Bhupen Hazarika Bridge via Sunpura to Tezu, By Road: You can hire a private cab to reach here.
