The Pomo Winter Trail is an experience that prioritizes immersion in nature over convenience. Here’s what you can expect:


1. Challenging Yet Rewarding Trek: The trail is moderately tough, making it suitable for trekkers with some experience.


2. Minimal Commercial Facilities: This remote trek means fewer conveniences like roadside chai or momo stalls. Instead, you'll experience the raw beauty of an untouched wilderness.


3. Simple, Nutritious Meals: Our cook will prepare meals with limited resources, focusing on nourishment to keep you energized.


4. Dedicated, Supportive Team: While our cook and guides may not be luxury service providers, they are skilled and dedicated to making this a memorable journey.


5. Basic Bathroom Arrangements: Facilities are basic, requiring you to use a shovel in natural surroundings—an eco-friendly way to enjoy the wilderness while respecting the environment.

Day 1: Welcome Briefing at Brothers Homestay


The adventure kicks off with a tea briefing session at Brothers Homestay. Here, our senior trek leader will provide an overview of the trail, offering valuable insights into the journey ahead and what to expect.


Day 2: Anini to Bruni - A Scenic Journey


Departure: 7:00 am from Anini

Transportation: Private taxi provided by Northeast Advisor

Destination: Bruni, approximately 75 km from Anini


As we set off from Anini, the journey to Bruni unfolds through a breathtaking valley with cascading waterfalls at every turn, making it ideal for photography and sightseeing. Some notable stops along the way include:


Acheso: A tranquil spot perfect for relaxation and capturing beautiful memories.


Chigu Resort: Experience local hospitality and refresh yourself with tea and snacks.


Karo Waterfall: A short 5-8 minute hike from the main trail, this waterfall offers a refreshing break for photos and a chance to soak in the natural beauty.



Our taxi will comfortably bring us to Bruni, where our trekking team eagerly awaits.


Arrival in Bruni: By 11:30 am

Trek Start Time: 11:30 am

Trek Duration: Approximately 3 hours


The trek from Bruni to our campsite takes you through an alpine landscape filled with enchanting views. Our relaxed pace allows time for everyone to soak in the surroundings at their comfort level.


Campsite Highlights:

Our campsite is a peaceful flat area surrounded by alpine mountains and a glacial river. Here, you can unwind, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and prepare for an unforgettable evening under the stars.


Evening Activities:

As night falls, gather around a cozy campfire to share stories, enjoy the calm ambiance, and gaze at the constellations in the unpolluted night sky—a truly magical experience.


Day 3: The Great Pomo Waterfall Trek


Begin the day with the scenic beauty surrounding our campsite. After breakfast, we’ll embark on a five-hour trek to the stunning Pomo Waterfall.


If the team reaches the waterfall before 11:00 am, we’ll take an additional short trek to a unique grassland where the rare Mishmi Takin can be spotted grazing. Afterward, we’ll head back to Omoro Camp, soaking in the final moments of this beautiful wilderness.


Optional Activity:

For those interested, kayaking is available at the campsite before breakfast, allowing you to explore the glacial waters and experience the thrill of the Dibang Valley’s pristine rivers.
