Dambuk Orange Festival 2026: Dates, Artists, Tickets, Accommodation & Local Travel Guide

Northeast Advisor 1 November 2026 8 min read

Imagine standing in the middle of a massive crowd, surrounded by spectacular stage lights, powerful music and thousands of excited people singing along to their favourite songs. The cool December air, the energy of the crowd and the atmosphere of a live concert create a feeling that's difficult to put into words.

That's exactly what we experienced at the Dambuk Orange Festival in 2025.

When Sunidhi Chauhan took the stage, the atmosphere was electrifying. The music, sound system, lighting and crowd energy gave us goosebumps. Even today, that performance remains one of our most memorable experiences at the festival.

And what made it even more special was that it happened so close to home.

At Northeast Advisor, we are locals based in Roing, Arunachal Pradesh, just approximately 40 minutes from Dambuk under normal road conditions. We attended all four days of the 2025 festival, experienced the live performances and adventure activities, and helped travellers arrange accommodation and transportation.

For us, the Orange Festival isn't just another tourist event. It feels like a celebration in our own backyard.

Now, the excitement is building again for the Dambuk Orange Festival 2026, scheduled for 17, 18 and 19 December 2026.

With SANAM Band and Salim–Sulaiman among the artists included in our latest local lineup update, music lovers have another exciting reason to plan a December trip to Arunachal Pradesh.

But before you book your tickets, there are several things you should know.

Where should you stay? How do you reach Dambuk? Is camping comfortable? How much money should you carry? What happens if you arrive late and cannot find parking? And can you combine the festival with Anini or Mechuka?

In this complete Dambuk Orange Festival 2026 travel guide, we share practical information and firsthand local insights to help you plan a memorable trip.

What Is the Orange Festival Dambuk Famous For?

If you're hearing about the orange festival dambuk event for the first time, you might wonder why so many travellers plan their December holidays around it.

The answer is simple: it's much more than a music festival.

Dambuk is known for its orange-growing landscape and peaceful countryside. During the festival, the area transforms into a lively destination for music lovers, adventure enthusiasts and travellers from across India.

The Orange Festival brings together experiences that are rarely found in one place.

1. Live music and celebrity performances

Music is undoubtedly one of the biggest attractions.

At the 2025 festival, we personally experienced performances by Sunidhi Chauhan and Raftaar.

The massive audience, spectacular lighting and powerful live music created an atmosphere that felt extraordinary for a small town like Dambuk.

With popular performers expected at the orange festival 2026, music lovers can look forward to another exciting edition.

2. Adventure sports and outdoor activities

The festival also brings an adventurous side to Dambuk.

During our 2025 visit, we saw activities such as off-roading, zip-lining and hot-air balloon attractions.

These experiences add variety to the event, particularly for visitors who arrive before the evening performances.

However, adventure activities may require additional payment, and their availability can change each year.

We recommend confirming the final activity list and safety arrangements before travelling.

3. Orange orchards and countryside

One of the most distinctive aspects of the Orange Festival is its connection to Dambuk's agricultural landscape.

Visitors can explore the surrounding countryside, see orange orchards and purchase locally grown oranges.

Some orchards may allow visits with the owner's permission.

It's a wonderful way to experience a quieter side of Dambuk before heading to the festival ground for the evening concerts.

4. Local culture and community experiences

The festival also provides opportunities to experience Arunachal Pradesh's cultural diversity.

Dambuk is closely connected with the Adi community, while nearby areas of the wider region are also home to Idu Mishmi communities.

For visitors from outside Northeast India, the festival can be an introduction to local traditions, food, hospitality and rural life.

At Northeast Advisor, we encourage visitors to experience these cultural elements instead of focusing only on the celebrity performances.

Dambuk Orange Festival 2026 Artist Lineup: SANAM and Salim–Sulaiman

One of the biggest questions travellers have about the Dambuk Orange Festival 2026 is which artists will perform.

As of 1 November 2026, SANAM Band and Salim–Sulaiman are the two names included in Northeast Advisor's latest local confirmed-lineup information.

Their individual performance dates and stage timings have not yet been independently verified on the official festival ticket page.

SANAM Band at Dambuk Orange Festival 2026

Popular Indian pop-rock band SANAM is known for its melodious performances, romantic songs and modern interpretations of classic Bollywood music.

The band has built a strong following among music lovers, especially audiences who enjoy nostalgic melodies performed with a contemporary sound.

SANAM's appearance is one of the musical attractions travellers can look forward to, subject to the final organiser schedule.

Salim–Sulaiman at Orange Festival 2026

Acclaimed music composer and performer duo Salim–Sulaiman is another name in the lineup information shared with our team.

Known for their Bollywood compositions and energetic stage performances, the duo brings a different musical experience to the festival.

For visitors who enjoy live Bollywood music, their appearance could be a highlight of the 2026 edition.

Will more artists perform?

Additional artists may be announced as the festival approaches.

We recommend following the official Orange Festival announcements for the complete lineup, performance dates and timings.

Northeast Advisor's tip: If you're planning your trip specifically to watch SANAM or Salim–Sulaiman, wait for the final artist-wise schedule before deciding which festival days to attend.

Our Firsthand Experience at Dambuk Orange Festival 2025

Before discussing travel arrangements for 2026, we want to share why this festival means so much to us.

The 2025 Orange Festival was held from 18 to 21 December, following a schedule change from its earlier planned dates.

Our team attended all four days.

We experienced the atmosphere as local residents, festival visitors and travel organisers.

The most unforgettable moment for us was Sunidhi Chauhan's live performance.

The lights illuminated the stage, the music filled the festival ground, and the crowd responded with incredible energy.

It genuinely gave us goosebumps.

Raftaar's performance was another memorable part of the festival.

What stood out was how a relatively small town like Dambuk could host such an energetic celebration.

But attending the festival also taught us several practical lessons.

We saw how quickly parking spaces filled up, how crowded the venue became during major performances and how difficult it could be to rely on mobile networks.

We also understood why accommodation must be booked early.

These are exactly the things we want travellers to know before attending the 2026 festival.

How to Reach Dambuk Orange Festival 2026

Dambuk is accessible by road from several locations in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

The best route depends on where you're starting.

Since Northeast Advisor is based in Roing, we regularly help tourists arrange travel in this region.

Roing to Dambuk via Bomjir

Route: Roing – Bomjir – Dambuk

From Roing, the main approach to Dambuk is via Bomjir.

The journey normally takes approximately 40 minutes in good road and traffic conditions.

The road has generally been in good condition during our recent experience, and regular cars can normally travel this stretch.

However, driving conditions during the festival can be very different.

Thousands of visitors arriving for evening performances may cause traffic congestion near the venue.

A journey that normally takes 40 minutes can take longer during peak festival hours.

Our local recommendation: Start from Roing early enough to reach Dambuk in the early evening. This helps you avoid the heaviest traffic and improves your chances of finding a convenient parking space.

Dibrugarh to Dambuk via Dhola–Sadiya

For travellers arriving by flight, Dibrugarh Airport in Assam is a practical gateway.

From Dibrugarh, we generally recommend travelling towards the Dhola–Sadiya side, crossing the Bhupen Hazarika Setu and continuing towards Roing and Dambuk.

A private vehicle is convenient, especially for groups and families carrying luggage.

Based on our local transport experience, private vehicle arrangements from Dibrugarh towards Dambuk may cost approximately ₹6,000, depending on the selected vehicle and service.

This is only an indicative quotation. Confirm the actual fare, route and inclusions before booking.

Pasighat to Dambuk

Travellers staying in Pasighat can also reach Dambuk by road.

The journey can take approximately one hour under favourable conditions.

However, allow additional time during the festival, especially if you plan to arrive close to the evening performances.

Tinsukia and Guwahati to Dambuk

Visitors approaching from Tinsukia or Guwahati can plan their journey through the Dhola–Sadiya route.

For visitors coming from Guwahati, we recommend planning the longer road journey carefully and considering overnight stops.

Trying to complete a tiring road journey and attend a late-night concert immediately afterward may not be enjoyable.

If you prefer a more comfortable experience, Northeast Advisor can help arrange private vehicles and accommodation.

Dambuk Orange Festival Parking: Important Local Advice

One thing we strongly recommend planning in advance is parking.

During our 2025 festival experience, dedicated paid parking was available near the festival ground.

However, parking spaces were limited and operated largely on a first-come, first-served basis.

As the evening progressed, finding parking became increasingly difficult.

Some visitors arriving late had to leave their vehicles along the roadside, sometimes several kilometres away from the venue.

Imagine attending a concert until late at night and then walking a long distance back to your car.

It can be exhausting, especially in December.

Our parking tips

  • Reach the festival ground in the early evening.

  • Avoid arriving just before the main performances.

  • Keep cash available for paid parking.

  • Follow traffic and parking instructions.

  • Save your parking location offline.

  • Arrange suitable transport if travelling with children or elderly family members.

During our 2025 visit, major stage performances generally started around 8 PM or later.

However, this is not a confirmed performance schedule for 2026.

Where to Stay During Dambuk Orange Festival 2026

Accommodation is one of the most important parts of planning your Orange Festival trip.

Dambuk is a small town with a limited number of hotels and homestays.

During the festival, demand for accommodation increases significantly.

At Northeast Advisor, we have helped visitors arrange festival stays, and one of the most common mistakes we notice is booking too late.

Our recommendation is to book your accommodation at least one month in advance.

Earlier booking is advisable if you want a specific hotel, resort or homestay.

Homestays in Dambuk

Homestays are a good option for travellers who prefer a local experience.

However, the number of available properties is limited.

During the festival period, homestay prices may start from approximately ₹3,000 per night for a double room.

Actual prices depend on the property, room type and booking date.

Resorts in Dambuk

Travellers looking for additional comfort can consider resorts and other premium accommodation options.

During peak festival demand, resort prices can reach approximately ₹10,000 per room per night.

Availability is limited, so early booking is important.

Camping near the Orange Festival ground

Camping is another option during the Dambuk Orange Festival.

Temporary tents are usually arranged near the festival venue, depending on availability.

Based on our local experience, camping prices may start from approximately ₹1,500 per person.

Basic camping arrangements may provide mattresses, blankets, electricity, water and shared washrooms.

However, don't expect every campsite to provide private bathrooms or luxury facilities.

Before confirming a campsite, ask about the exact facilities and distance from the festival entrance.

Is it better to stay in Roing or Dambuk?

This is a question we receive frequently.

Both locations have advantages.

Stay in Dambuk if: You prefer to be closer to the festival venue and want to avoid travelling back after late-night concerts.

Stay in Roing if: You have your own car or have arranged a private vehicle and prefer access to more accommodation options.

Roing is a practical alternative because it is approximately 40 minutes from Dambuk in normal conditions.

However, returning after a concert can take longer because of festival traffic and late-night travel considerations.

At Northeast Advisor, we can help you choose accommodation based on your group size, budget and travel preferences.

Food and Drinks at Dambuk Orange Festival

The Orange Festival has food stalls offering a variety of refreshments and meals.

During our 2025 visit, we saw local non-vegetarian food, fast food, beer and other beverages.

Vegetarian food was also available.

However, food and drinks at the venue can be relatively expensive.

Based on our experience, visitors may want to budget around ₹1,000 per person for food and drinks during a festival evening.

Your actual spending will depend on what you order.

Important: Carry cash

This is one of the most useful pieces of advice we can give.

During our 2025 visit, mobile internet connectivity around the festival ground was extremely unreliable.

Airtel worked intermittently, but the network fluctuated significantly.

Because of this, depending entirely on UPI payments is risky.

We strongly recommend carrying sufficient cash for food, refreshments, parking and other expenses.

Also download or screenshot your tickets, hotel confirmations and important travel documents before entering the festival ground.

Dambuk Orange Festival 2026 Ticket Price and Booking

The official Orange Festival ticket page currently lists a three-day early-bird pass for ₹2,500, valid for 17, 18 and 19 December 2026.

The listed ticket price excludes 18% GST and applicable payment convenience fees.

Other ticket categories or later booking phases may have different prices.

Visitors can check availability through the official Orange Festival 2026 ticket booking page.

Important ticket information

According to the current organiser instructions:

  • Carry a valid government-issued photo ID.

  • Present your e-ticket and QR code at the entrance.

  • Download or screenshot the QR code before reaching Dambuk.

  • Arrive early for security checks.

  • Children aged 10 years and below are currently eligible for free entry.

  • Tickets are generally non-refundable, except where the organiser's published policy provides otherwise.

The organiser may update the programme, performance timings and entry arrangements.

Festival tickets do not automatically include accommodation, transport, food or adventure activities unless explicitly stated in the selected ticket or package.

Inner Line Permit for Dambuk Orange Festival 2026

Most Indian tourists travelling from outside Arunachal Pradesh need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to enter the state.

You should arrange the required permit before travelling.

Indian citizens can apply through the official Arunachal Pradesh eILP website.

The current tourist eILP fee is:

  • ₹300 for stays of up to three days.

  • ₹500 for stays longer than three days and up to 14 days.

These fees are subject to government revision.

Foreign nationals must check the applicable Protected Area Permit or other entry requirements before travelling.

At Northeast Advisor, we assist travellers with the relevant permit arrangements as part of our travel-planning services.

If you're combining the festival with Anini and Mechuka, make sure your permit covers the entire period of your stay and the districts you intend to visit.

Weather in Dambuk During December: What to Pack

December is a pleasant time to explore this part of Arunachal Pradesh, but evenings can feel cold, particularly when you're spending several hours outdoors.

During our 2025 festival experience, jackets were necessary.

We recommend carrying:

  • A warm jacket or layered clothing

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • A power bank

  • Cash in smaller denominations

  • Government-issued identification

  • Inner Line Permit or other applicable travel documents

  • Downloaded festival tickets

  • Essential personal medication

  • A small day bag

If you are planning to continue towards Anini or Mechuka, carry additional warm clothing suitable for mountain destinations.

Winter road conditions in higher-altitude areas can change quickly.

How Much Does a Dambuk Orange Festival Trip Cost?

The cost of attending the Dambuk Orange Festival depends on your accommodation, transport, number of travel days, activities and group size.

Here are some indicative planning expenses.

Festival Ticket: ₹2,500 early-bird three-day pass, excluding taxes and applicable fees.

Dambuk Homestay: Starting around ₹3,000 per night for a double room.

Resort Accommodation: Can reach approximately ₹10,000 per room per night.

Camping: Starting around ₹1,500 per person.

Private Taxi from Roing to Dambuk: Approximately ₹2,500 one way.

Private Transport from Dibrugarh: Around ₹6,000 as an indicative local quotation, depending on the vehicle and service.

Food and Drinks: Approximately ₹1,000 per person for a festival evening.

Adventure Activities: Additional charges may apply.

For a basic festival-focused trip, a broad planning budget could be around ₹10,000–₹30,000 per person, depending on the arrangements.

This is not a fixed package price. Flights, extended sightseeing, premium accommodation and longer private tours can increase the total significantly.

For our Anini and Mechuka extensions, we provide customised quotations based on group size and travel requirements.

Dambuk Orange Festival 2026 Tour Package Cost

At Northeast Advisor, we do not believe that every traveler needs the same package.

A couple planning a private trip will have different requirements from a group of friends travelling together.

Similarly, a family looking for comfortable resort accommodation may have a different budget from travellers who prefer basic homestays.

For this reason, our Dambuk Orange Festival 2026 tour package costs vary according to group size and individual preferences.

The final package quotation depends on:

  • Number of travellers

  • Selected tour itinerary

  • Type of vehicle

  • Hotel, resort, homestay or camping category

  • Room-sharing arrangements

  • Festival tickets and activities, if included

  • Meals and sightseeing requirements

  • Airport transfers and other requested services

We can help with accommodation, transportation, permits, local sightseeing and customized travel planning.

The exact package inclusions and exclusions will be shared with your quotation.

For package prices, WhatsApp Northeast Advisor at +91 8415076121 with your preferred itinerary and number of travellers.

Places to Visit Near Dambuk and Roing

If you have extra time during the festival, consider exploring the surrounding area.

As locals from Roing, we recommend a few nearby experiences.

Bomjir River Bridge

The Bomjir area lies along the Roing–Dambuk route.

The river and surrounding landscape offer scenic views and opportunities to appreciate the countryside.

Always stop only at safe and permitted locations.

Stone Hill Resort, Roing

Stone Hill Resort is one of the places to consider around Roing for accommodation or a leisure visit, subject to the property's arrangements.

It can be a useful option for visitors who want to explore Roing before or after the festival.

12 KM Roing Viewpoint

The area locally referred to as the 12 KM viewpoint near Roing is another scenic stop to consider.

Visitors interested in photography and countryside views may enjoy adding it to their daytime plans.

Mayodia Pass

If you're extending your trip towards Anini, the route through Mayodia offers impressive mountain scenery.

However, December conditions can be challenging at higher elevations.

We recommend checking the latest road and weather conditions before planning this journey.

Is Dambuk Orange Festival Safe for Families and Solo Travellers?

Based on our experience in 2025, the festival had generally good security arrangements.

It can be enjoyed by couples, families, groups of friends and solo travellers.

However, we recommend planning according to your travel style.

Families with children

The festival can be enjoyable for families, but major performances may take place late at night.

Children may become tired from standing, walking and staying awake for long periods.

Families should consider comfortable accommodation and reliable transport.

Solo travellers

If you're travelling alone, book your stay in advance and arrange a dependable way to return after the concert.

Because mobile networks can be unreliable at the venue, don't rely entirely on booking last-minute transport through your phone.

Groups of friends

The festival is an exciting experience for groups.

However, large crowds can make it difficult to stay together.

Agree on a meeting point and keep essential contact information saved offline.

What could be improved?

We enjoyed the 2025 festival immensely, but crowd management was one area where we felt improvements could be made.

Large crowds sometimes made movement and parking difficult.

We believe sharing this information honestly helps visitors prepare better for the experience.

Seven Important Local Tips for Dambuk Orange Festival 2026

After attending the festival ourselves and helping visitors plan their trips, these are our most important recommendations.

1. Book your accommodation first

Hotels and homestays in Dambuk are limited.

Don't wait until the last moment.

If possible, book at least one month in advance.

2. Reach the festival ground early

Parking is limited and paid.

Arriving late can mean leaving your vehicle far from the entrance.

3. Carry cash

Mobile connectivity was extremely unreliable during the 2025 festival.

UPI may not work consistently.

4. Arrange return transport in advance

If you're staying in Roing, plan how you will return after the evening concerts.

5. Carry a warm jacket

December evenings can feel chilly, especially after spending several hours outdoors.

6. Keep tickets and permits ready

Download your e-ticket and carry the necessary government identification and travel permits.

7. Consider extending your trip

If you're coming from outside Northeast India, explore the possibility of combining the festival with Anini or Mechuka.

These destinations can make your Arunachal Pradesh journey even more memorable.
