The owner Mr. Singpho was very courteous and helpful. Enjoyed the food prepared at the kitchen. Do not forget to take an evening stroll along the river bank. The scenic is memorable. Please ask for a guide named Vicky to take you to the Nampdapha Reserve Forest. Its a whole day trip. Never met a guide as passionate as him when it comes to introduce you to the mysteries and enchanting wild life

Word of caution - Locating the Resort is bit challenging as there are no sign boards. Its located near a deserted river bank and is hidden by the bushes. Google map did not work near the resort.

The bungalows are very well equipped and were having their roof coverings renovated whilst we were there. The nights were cold, but a large fire was built each night and we had our dinner sitting around them. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The owner spent each dinner time with us and explained much about the tribes and region.

The camp is located just at the bank of the river. The location is superb with great views of the snow clad Himalayas and the crystal clear water of the river. We loved our stay in those little cottages. There are around 6 cottages and each of them has an attached bath, geyser, comfy beds, a few hangers and a table. The food was fresh and very homely. Overall, its the best place to stay in that region.

Getting There:

Miao can be reached from Dibrugarh airport and Tinsukia rail station. Assam State Transport Corporation and Arunachal Pradesh State Transport buses ply regularly from Dibrugarh to Miao via Tinsukia, Margherita, Ledo, Jagun and Kharsang.

By Air :

Miao is 156 km away from the nearest which is at Mohanbari, Dibrugarh in Assam. There are regular buses for Miao from Dibrugarh, cabs are available too.

By Rail :

The nearest railway station from Miao is at Tinsukia in Assam, which is 115 kms. From Tinsukia, buses ply regularly to Miao.

By Road :

Regular APSTS and ASRTC buses are available from Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, and a place called Margherita. Cabs are readily available from these destinations as well.
