One Week Road Trip Itinerary to Northeast India: A Complete Travel Guide

Day 1

The road trip can be started from Guwahati, It will take around 5-6 Hours to reach the next stop Tezpur, the approx. distance is around 200 KM.

Tezpur is a beautiful town rich with Heritage. You can explore some of the major attraction which are Mahabhairav Temple, Agnigarh, Padum Pukhuri, Bamuni Hill and call the day off and get some rest at any hotel before starting the exciting journey of Day 2.

Day 2

Day 2 road trip will more on terrain, so its better to start as early as possible. After 1 hour of travel from Tezpur, you will enter the Arunachal Border “Bhalukpong”. Here you need to get the interline pass which is available in the Checkpost and you can also apply online

Once you started from Bhalukpong, your terrain trip will start and you will reach Bomdila in next 3-4 Hours.

Once you reach Bomdila, you can explore the Monasteries and beautiful view points and call the day of as Day 3 will be a long day.

Day 3

Day 3 gonna be a long and lifetime experience which is hard to put in words, You will see beautiful waterfalls, frozen lake and many more natural attractions.

It will take 5-6 Hours to reach Tawang from Bomdila and once you reach Tawang it will be hard to say goodbye.
