Embark on an unforgettable 10-day, 9-night journey through Eastern Arunachal Pradesh, exploring the remote landscapes, cultural heritage and remarkable villages of Wakro, Dong Valley, Kaho, Tezu, Roing and Anini. Starting from Dibrugarh Airport, this carefully planned Arunachal Pradesh tour takes you through scenic mountain roads, river valleys, forests and some of the most offbeat destinations in the region.
Day-wise Itinerary
- 1
- Arrive at Dibrugarh Airport, where you will be picked up and begin your journey towards Wakro in Eastern Arunachal Pradesh. The drive covers approximately 190 km and takes around 5 hours.
- En route, halt at Tinsukia to freshen up. Later, continue towards the Golden Pagoda, where you can experience the evening light show. After the visit, proceed to Wakro and check in to your homestay/resort.
- Enjoy a relaxed evening with local food and the peaceful surroundings of Wakro before an early overnight stay in preparation for the next day's journey to Dong Valley.

- After breakfast, begin the scenic journey from Wakro to Dong Valley, covering approximately 170 km in 5–6 hours. The day takes you deeper into the remote landscapes of Eastern Arunachal Pradesh.
- En route, visit Parshuram Kund, a significant pilgrimage site, and take a break while enjoying the surrounding views of the Lohit River. Continue towards Walong and visit the Walong War Memorial, paying homage to the soldiers who fought in the 1962 Indo-China War.
- Proceed towards Dong Valley and arrive in the evening. Check into your resort, relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings. Rest early, as the next morning begins with an early trek to the Dong Viewpoint to witness the first sunrise in India.

- Start the day as early as 2:00 AM with a trek to the Dong Viewpoint, one of the highlights of this Eastern Arunachal Pradesh tour. Reach the viewpoint before dawn and witness the spectacular first sunrise in India, as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the mountains and valleys.
- After sunrise, trek back to the resort around 6:00–7:00 AM and take some time to rest and freshen up. After breakfast, proceed towards Kaho Village, the easternmost village of India near the China border. Meet the local Memba community, experience the peaceful village atmosphere and take in the surrounding mountain landscapes.
- Return to Dong by evening and spend the night at the resort.
- Note: The Dong sunrise trek costs approximately ₹1,000–₹2,000 per person, payable directly and not included in the package. The trek is subject to weather conditions.

- After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning in Dong Valley before beginning the journey back towards Tezu via Walong. The drive covers approximately 220 km and takes around 7 hours, offering beautiful views of the remote landscapes of Eastern Arunachal Pradesh.
- Travel along the scenic Lohit River, with opportunities to stop at picturesque spots along the way for photographs and short breaks. Take in the changing landscapes as you journey through the mountains and valleys.
- Arrive in Tezu by evening and check into your hotel or homestay. Spend the evening exploring Tezu town at your own pace and relax after the day's scenic drive.

- After lunch, begin a leisurely drive from Tezu to Roing, covering approximately 100 km in around 2 hours.
- En route, visit the historic Bhismaknagar site and continue towards Roing through the scenic landscapes of Eastern Arunachal Pradesh. On arrival, explore the Roing market, where you can browse for local souvenirs and enjoy a glimpse of the town's everyday life.
- Later, check into your accommodation in Roing and relax for the evening, preparing for the scenic journey to Anini the following day.

- Start early from Roing for a scenic journey towards Anini, covering approximately 200 km in around 8 hours. This is one of the most scenic drives of the tour, taking you deeper into the remote landscapes of Dibang Valley.
- Travel through spectacular river valleys, mountain landscapes and remote wilderness, with the route offering plenty of natural beauty along the way. As stops are limited during the journey, it is recommended to carry packed food for the drive.
- Arrive in Anini by evening and check into your accommodation. After a long drive, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, beautiful sunset views and the unique cultural atmosphere of the Idu Mishmi region.
- Overnight stay in Anini.

- Begin your first full day in Anini with a relaxed breakfast at your resort before heading out to explore the surrounding landscapes and natural beauty.
- Continue to Chigu Camp, known for its breathtaking landscapes, dense forests and clear mountain skies. Take time to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and capture the scenic beauty of the Dibang Valley.

- The day also includes multiple waterfall sightseeing stops, allowing you to experience the pristine natural beauty and untouched surroundings of the Anini region.
- Return to your accommodation in Anini and relax for the evening.

- Enjoy a relaxed morning at your resort and take in the stunning valley views of Anini before beginning the day's exploration.
- Visit Emuli Grassland, reached by a short trek of approximately 20 minutes, and spend some time enjoying its peaceful surroundings and open mountain landscapes.
- Continue towards Mipi and Mathu Valley to experience the breathtaking scenery and untouched wilderness of the Anini region. Take in the remote mountain landscapes before returning to Anini.
- Return to your resort by evening and relax for the night.

- After breakfast, begin your return journey from Anini to Roing, covering approximately 200–220 km in around 8 hours.

- Arrive in Roing by evening, check into your accommodation and relax after the day's long mountain drive.

- Enjoy a relaxed morning at your resort in Roing before beginning the final leg of your journey. After breakfast, depart for Dibrugarh Airport, covering approximately 150 km in around 3 hours.
- Drive through the scenic routes of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, enjoying the landscapes along the way. Arrive at Dibrugarh Airport in time for your onward journey, marking the end of your 10-day Anini and Dong Valley tour.
