Experience the best of the Eastern Himalayas and Assam with our Tawang–Kaziranga Tour Package, a carefully planned 9 Days / 8 Nights Northeast India holiday from Guwahati. This journey combines the spectacular mountain landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh with the wildlife-rich wilderness of Kaziranga, making it ideal for travellers looking to experience both Himalayan culture and Assam’s natural beauty.
The tour begins from Guwahati Airport and takes you towards the picturesque mountain village of Shergaon, with stops at Bhairabkunda, Tenzin Gaon and Zengbu Gompa. Continue to Sangti Valley, where you can enjoy a scenic river walk, a peaceful hike and a visit to the local sheep farm.
The journey then continues to Tawang, one of the major highlights of the tour. En route, experience the dramatic landscapes around Sela Pass and Sela Lake, visit the Jaswantgarh War Memorial and admire the spectacular Jang Waterfalls. In Tawang, explore the famous Buddhist monastery and other local attractions. Optional excursions to Bumla Pass, Zimithang and Chumi Gyatse Falls can also be arranged through mandatory local taxis, subject to road conditions and applicable charges.
From Tawang, travel back towards Dirang, with opportunities to explore attractions such as kiwi farms, the Dirang Dzong, hot water springs, Mandala Top and Sangti Valley, depending on available time. The route then descends towards Kaziranga, where you can relax before experiencing the region's famous wildlife safari options.
The Kaziranga Safari day offers different safari choices, including Elephant Safari and Gypsy Safaris in the Central and Eastern Ranges. Safari charges are additional and depend on the option selected.
The final part of the journey takes you from Kaziranga to Guwahati, with optional city sightseeing covering attractions such as Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Island, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra and the Brahmaputra Riverfront, before your departure from Guwahati Airport on Day 9.
This Tawang and Kaziranga tour package includes accommodation, daily breakfast, transportation according to group size, driver allowance, fuel, tolls, parking, applicable permits, sightseeing and airport/railway station transfers as specified in the itinerary. Accommodation is available in Standard and Premium categories, subject to availability.
Day-wise Itinerary

- Arrive at Guwahati Airport before 8:00 AM and begin your scenic journey towards the beautiful mountain village of Shergaon in Arunachal Pradesh. The drive covers approximately 200 km and takes around 7 hours.
- En route, make a stop at Bhairabkunda in Assam, followed by a cultural visit to Tenzin Gaon and the peaceful Zengbu Gompa. Upon reaching Shergaon, explore its charming apple orchards and enjoy the tranquil mountain surroundings.
- Check in to your accommodation and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Shergaon.

Booking & Payment
- The booking is confirmed only after receipt of the required advance payment.
- An advance payment of ₹5,000 per person is required to confirm the booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid before the tour begins.

Cancellation Policy
- The advance payment is non-refundable.
- Cancellation charges will apply depending on the cancellation period prior to departure.
- No refund will be provided for no-shows or unused services.
Accommodation
- Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking.
- If the listed property is unavailable, a similar-category accommodation will be provided.

Transportation

- Vehicle usage is strictly as per the confirmed itinerary.

- Air conditioning may not operate in hilly or high-altitude regions.
